Content Policy- WhatsMyMenu

The golden rule

Post photos you took yourself.

WhatsMyMenu is a place to share what real households cook. Follow that one rule and almost everything below takes care of itself.

Welcome

  • Food you cooked or were served, photographed by you.

  • A menu you photographed to remember what you ate.

  • Your own recipes, notes and names for dishes.

  • Questions and answers about a dish.

  • Corrections, such as a wrong region, cooking time or ingredient.

Not allowed

  • Photos you didn't take. This includes images from Google, Pinterest, Instagram, WhatsApp forwards or recipe websites (including photos that come with an imported recipe), restaurant promotional shots, screenshots and stock photos.

  • Other people's private information. Check your photo for faces of people who haven't agreed to be shown (especially children who aren't yours), bills and receipts, phone numbers, addresses and documents. Crop them out or retake the photo.

  • Harmful content. Nothing sexual, hateful, violent or harassing, no impersonating a person, household or restaurant (including through your @handle), no spam or ads, and nothing unrelated to food.
